I agree with all of you, and I too think most new music is terrible, but this song really is three chords and a few solos over the basic 12 bar blues pattern. I love the rockin sound, don’t get me wrong…

greetings from the evil empire, en why cee!!! this was THE LAST GREAT ROCK SONG. apres moi, le deluge (that’s french for, “after this, it’s all shit”)
October 1st, 2012 at 9:06 am
Why? If you like this song then buy it! That way the record companies will know you like it. If enough people buy music like this then they will give record contracts to bands playing music like this and not that crap they are spewing out now.

Obviously it’s because real guitar playing is too difficult for today’s musicians. It’s not music anymore, it’s ‘learn one chord-plagiarize/cover a popular song-look pretty in front of the camera’.

Whatever happened to music that played more than 3 cords? I miss southern rock and outlaw country.

Okay, I get the whole shotgun wedding…but what is she doing wearing a white dress?
October 1st, 2012 at 12:02 pm
This is an awesome track…….dynamically powerful….superb vocals and excellent music. The video is brilliant….I half expected it to end with the heavily pregnant bride being rushed off in an ambulance to the maternity hospital shortly after the shotgun wedding…..smiles

2:32 they guy messes with his tuning… I know it is a video but if I was playing guitar and in the middle of a song that would kind of make me angry…
October 1st, 2012 at 2:13 pm
The best part is when the the guy is poking the singer in the back with his shotgun at the wedding.

no, that’s Rick Richards. He played with Izzy Stradlin after this, so I guess Izzy liked the style and look of Rick and Slash.

Great to hear real musicians at work. I remember seeing great live rock bands here in Australia years ago, mostly gone and replaced by mindless dance music.
October 1st, 2012 at 11:35 pm
Have you ever played a musical instrument? Written a song? Suffered for your art? Sang in competition?…..played nightclubs four to seven days a week, slept in your band, practiced for hours on one lick, till your fingers bled….practiced scales for months….paid your dues…if you haven’t then STFU….cause you don’t know what real music or real musicians go through…been doing it for 40 years and I get tired of morons like you….peace out!!!!
October 2nd, 2012 at 12:18 am
shitty ass crowd
October 2nd, 2012 at 12:51 am
Yeah man …. I agree 110%. Back then we had Real Bands that could play Real Live Music as it should be PLAYED. There is way too much Plastic in the Crap we see on TV, Oh and by the way, it’s not only American idol in America, we have a Shit Program called “The X Factor” and all these other Idol Crap programs in Australia & in NZ as well.
Love playing this tune.
Funny I was born 2 weeks before this concert, ha.

This song was super popular when it came out, and I still consider it one of the best R&R songs of all time.
